The benefit of a multisig vault is that there is no single point of failure. If one key is lost or compromised, you can still recover your funds.

Lost or Compromised Key

Use Theya's assisted recovery in the event that one of your keys is lost or compromised. This process will grant access to your vault and give the option to move funds to a new vault (or send to Bitcoin address).

Mobile Key Recovery

In the event that you are switching to a new phone, you can restore your mobile key from your iCloud Keychain backup. Assisted recovery is only needed if the mobile key is lost (without iCloud Keychain backup) or compromised.

Broken or Bricked Hardware Device

In the event that your key is not compromised, but your hardware device is no longer functional, use your seed phrase to recover a new device. Then perform a health check to ensure vault functionality.

  • If you recover your key on a different device model, you can reach out to Theya support to update your vault (for signing and health check instructions).
