In the event that one your keys is lost or compromised, here's how to use Theya's assisted recovery to access and move multisig vault funds.

New phone? You may not need Theya's recovery key. Instead see, 'Restoring a Mobile Key on a new iPhone'.

Initiate Assisted Fund Recovery

In this example, a Ledger Nano X is compromised.

  • Navigate to your compromised key

    • Vault > Key Management > [Device]

  • Select where you would like your recovered funds sent

    • Another vault (you have the option to create a new vault)

    • Bitcoin address

Signing Process

In this example, Key 1 is a mobile key.

  • Select transaction speed and verify destination in the Preview Transfer

  • Sign with non-compromised key(s)

  • Request Recovery Key Signature from Theya

    • You will need to answer your unique security questions to proceed.

  • With your non-compromised key(s) signed and recovery requested, the transaction process is underway.

    • There is a mandatory 3 day time delay before the transaction is processed and broadcasted to the Bitcoin network.
