Hereโ€™s how to sign a transaction using a Trezor hardware device.

Open Web Application

  • After initiating your send transaction within Theya, you will be prompted to sign the transaction using the keys(s) created upon set up of your vault.

    • Two signatures for multisig

    • One signature for single-sig

  • Click 'Sign with [Device Name]' and the signing instructions will be sent via email to you (or your cosigner).

  • Ensure your Trezor hardware device(s) are ready to sign a transaction.

    • You will need the USB cable(s) provided with your hardware wallet(s).

    • You will need Trezor Bridge installed on your computer.

  • Click the 'Sign Transaction' link provided in the email to open the Theya web application. This will guide you through connecting your device and signing the transaction via the connect.trezor.io web application.

Signing Process

  • The Theya web application will guide you through preparing your device and authorizing the transaction.

Prepare your Trezor Device

  • Connect your device to your computer via USB.

  • Click 'Connect' on Theya's web application.

  • Grant permissions for the Trezor web application to read and export public keys from the device.

  • Activate the device by entering your pin when prompted.

  • Select 'Standard' or 'Hidden Wallet' (requiring a passphrase) depending on how to initially set up the device.

  • With your device connected, you can now sign the transaction.

Authorize the Transaction

  • Check details on the web application summary page and continue to signing.

    • You may need to grant permissions again.

  • Follow on-device prompts to confirm and sign your transaction.

  • The Theya app will now show that the signature has been completed.

*In this example, a Trezor is Key 1 of a multisig vault.

If conducting a multisig vault transaction, the Theya app will display progress on the signature process. After signing with you first key, you can repeat the process for the second key.

  • Once all necessary keys have signed, you can broadcast the transaction to the network. Check the confirmation status using the Mempool.Space block explorer link provided or transaction history on your Theya vault homepage.

    • Your vault balance will update after 3+ confirmations.
