Health checks are a feature that ensures all your keys are operational, allowing Theya users to regularly check the functionality of their multisig or singlesig vault.
How you perform a health check depends on your Ledger hardware device:
Health Check Via Bluetooth
With the Ledger Nano X, a health check can be performed in-app via bluetooth.
Go to Key Management from the vault homepage
Select your Ledger device key, then select Request Health Check.
Scan for Device
Ensure your device is activated and the Bitcoin app is open (Ledger will display 'Bitcoin Ready')
Confirm the Bitcoin message on your device and continue to signing.
Once the message is successfully signed, Theya will display a healthy status of the paired key.
Health Check Via USB
With the Ledger Nano S Plus, a health check can be performed via USB connection using Theya's web application.
Go to Key Management from the vault homepage
Select your Ledger device key, then select Request Health Check to receive emailed instructions.
*Health Check Email
Click the โStart Health Checkโ link provided in the email. This will open a new browser tab for a web application.
Connect your Ledger to your computer via USB and follow prompts on the web application.
Activate your device by entering your pin and opening the Bitcoin application.
You will be asked to activate the device and grant permissions for the web application to read and export public keys from the device.
Follow instructions on device, confirming signing address and Bitcoin message.
Once you confirm the Bitcoin message, your key signature will be verified and the Theya web application will display the health status of your paired device.
