After creating your Theya account, you can continue to set up your vault(s). Here is the process for adding a Ledger hardware device(s) to your multisig or singlesig vault.
For new devices (if you have have not generated a private key and seedphrase backup), follow Ledger's Documentation to set up your devices(s) before pairing with a Theya vault.
Note: With all single-sig or multisig wallet setups, it's at the user(s) discretion how to secure and store their physical hardware device(s) and recovery seed phrases.

Pairing A Ledger: First Steps
Select 'Create New Vault' and select vault type
Single Key (singlesig vault)
Three Keys (2-of-3 multisig vault)
With a multisig vault, you will generate you Recovery Key with Theya prior to paring your device. Otherwise, the general process of pairing a Ledger is the same regardless of vault type.
Select ‘New Hardware Device.’ Then select ‘Ledger’ from the manufacturer options. Pairing instructions will be provided for your specific device.
Ledger Nano S Plus (USB only): Instructions will be emailed to you.
Ledger Nano X (Bluetooth connectivity): Connect and pair the Theya app via bluetooth. If opting to connect via USB, instructions will be emailed to you.
Pairing Via Bluetooth (Nano X)
Ensure bluetooth for your phone is turned on.
Power on, enter your pin, and activate your Ledger Nano X.
Open the Bitcoin app on your Ledger.
Your Ledger will display "Bitcoin is ready."
Ensure firmware is up to date. You may encounter an error otherwise.
Scan for your device and select once found.
Approve bluetooth pairing request.
Confirm that the code provided by Theya matches the one on your device.
Your Ledger is now successfully paired with Theya. If creating a singlesig vault, or if this is the second key in a multisig setup, you can now explore your newly created vault and receive funds! If this is the first key in a multisig vault, continue adding your second key.
This step required before you can sign a send transaction with your Ledger.
Verify Vault Functionality
To check the functionality of your vault, use the Health Check feature found under Key Management on your vault homepage.
Pairing Via USB (Nano S Plus & Nano X)
Select "Send Pairing Instructions" during vault setup and instructions will be sent to the email associated with your Theya account.
Open this email on a desktop computer and ensure you have your hardware device (with pin) ready for pairing.
You will need the USB cable(s) compatible with your Ledger device.
Click the ‘Add Hardware Wallet’ link provided in the email, and a new browser tab will open a Theya web application.
Follow instructions on the web application to prepare your device.
Power on, enter your pin, and activate your Ledger Nano X.
Open the Bitcoin app on your Ledger.
Your Ledger will display "Bitcoin is ready."
Ensure firmware is up to date. You may encounter an error otherwise.
Select the Ledger device you are pairing with Theya.
Ensure the Bitcoin app is open and your device displays "Bitcoin is ready."
You can now "Add Ledger to Vault"
Your Ledger is now successfully paired with Theya. If creating a singlesig vault, or if this is the second key in a multisig vault, you can now explore your new created vault and receive funds! If this is the first key in a multisig vault, continue adding your second key.
This step required before you can sign a send transaction with your Ledger.

Registration Policy
Once your Ledger device is paired, you will need to register your vault with the device. Navigate to your key management and follow the registration instructions. The process will be similar to the pairing process above.
